Synchro is a line of injectable products based on hyaluronic acid, indicated for the prevention and treatment of degenerative and traumatic pathologies of all joints.
Synchro by Phitogen
For more than 20 years, Phitogen Beauty Labs has manufactured and distributed medical devices based on Hyaluronic Acid (HA) for use in orthopaedics, aesthetic medicine and dermocosmetics.
With a certified production site of over 5,000 square metres and a state-of-the-art clean room, which allows the extraction of a raw material free from nucleic acids and residual proteins, Phitogen supports top-rate production processes for the development of high-end 100% Made in Italy fillers, supplying important national and international brands, leaders in their respective markets.
From the experience of Phitogen’s laboratories comes Synchro, the innovative line of injectable products based on Linear & Cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid, used as a replacement for synovial fluid to prevent and treat tenomuscular joint pathologies, helping to reduce pain and restore joint function.
Tenomuscular joint disorders
What are tenomuscular joint disorders?
In tenomuscular joint diseases – arthrosis, arthritis, tendinitis, tendinosis – there is an alteration in the synchrony of the 3 levels of the joint’s biomolecular dynamics. (Cartilage level, spongy bone level, capsulo-ligamentous level)
What are the degenerative factors caused by joint disorders?
Hyaluronic acid, in particular the crosslinked one, is an authentic biosynchronizer that works by rebalancing the three phases of the biomolecular dynamics of the treated joint.
The pathologies that can be found over time, which can be treated with hyaluronic acid-based injections, are:
- Arthrosis
- Arthritis
- Tendinitis
- Tendinosis
Tenomuscular joint disorders can trigger the manifestation of several degenerative factors, including:
– Alteration of nitric oxide production
– Loss of microvascularization
– Cartilage flaking and thinning
– Excess acid phosphatases and macrophage activity
– Ligamentous fibrosis
– Irreversible loss of lubricin
Hyaluronic Acid (HA), mainly comprising glucoronic acid and glucosamine, can restore the chemical-physical conditions of joints and tendons to normal, restoring a functional and balanced physiological anatomical framework.
Prevention
“Prevention improves the quality of life”
In medicine, prevention aims to prevent the onset of the disease or to reduce its negative effects when the disease has already occurred, thus improving its evolution and prognosis.
HA deficiency in joints not only initiates the natural ageing process, but also increases susceptibility, to developing degenerative or chronic inflammatory diseases, both in youth and old age.
Injection therapy
Hyaluronic Acid injection therapy is a form of prevention that can be framed within the framework of regenerative medicine.
Thanks to the Infiltrative therapy it is possible to strengthen or partially replace the production of hyaluronic acid in patients who have lost (or are starting to lose) the ability to produce it naturally.
The reintegration of Hyaluronic Acid at certain concentration levels is able to prevent the onset of any degenerative or mechanical inflammatory matrix joint actions, and to halt the degradation processes taking place in the diseased cartilage.
How hyaluronic acid works on joints
We have seen that intra-articular therapy with Hyaluronic Acid serves to rebalance the cellular activity of the 3 phases of the biomolecular dynamics of the bone structure, acting on the joint as a true biosynchroniser.
However, to better understand how HA affects joints, we need to take a step back and explain what the pathological basis of tenomuscular joint disease is.
Cartilage and tendon-muscle cells are only able to decode the stimulus of hydrostatic pressure, and not mechanical pressure. This means that what triggers the pathology is dehydration of the cartilage and tendon matrix, which can only be repaired by Hyaluronic Acid, the only injection medium capable of transporting water into these structures.
If this fundamental element is missing, cartilage cells lose their ability to reactivate and repair, leading to degeneration of cartilage tissue and the onset of disease.
Benefits
Analgesic therapy by administering Hyaluronic Acid intra-joint allows the patient to obtain significant benefits, because the infiltrations are able to reach the injured site with the right concentration, maximising results and minimising the risks of rejection and side effects.
In particular, here are some of the benefits:
RESTORING
JOINT HOMEOSTASIS
HA restores the viscoelastic properties of sinuvial fluid, restoring the organic balance lost due to the joint disease.
CARTILAGE
PRESERVATION
Hyaluronic Acid protects cartilage from mechanical injury, reducing the progression of cartilage damage.
LUBRICATING
EFFECT
HA improves joint mechanics, reducing inflammation and pain.
Synchro lines
Synchro is a range of injectable intra-articular products based on Linear & Cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid:
Synchro Basic
Linear Hyaluronic Acid
Synchro Basic, with its visco-inductive action, is suitable for treating degenerative diseases and joint traumas in which a decrease in Hyaluronic Acid production is observed.
How it acts
The low concentration of Hyaluronic Acid (0.8%), combined with the use of an inductive molecular weight (less than 1200 Kdalton), results in rapid action on acid phosphatases, matrix rehydration and stimulation of chondrocyte reactivation.
This condition inevitably leads to the loss of biochemical homeostasis of the articular environment with the consequence of a progressive flaking of the entire para-articular articular system.
Advice on use
The special formulation allows treatment of all small joints, not subject to body load, such as:
- hands
- feet
- acromioclavicular
- sternum claveare
The Synchro line is easy to use even for the novice physician, because its formulation is based on a rapid and complete transition through the synovial, capsular and tendon membrane, with a proven inductive effect on synoviocytes and chondrocytes.
Synchro Start
Linear Hyaluronic Acid
Synchro Start, by acting on the production-repair activity of synovial and cartilage cells, is suitable for treating degenerative diseases and joint traumas in which there is a decrease in the amount of Hyaluronic Acid.
How it acts
With a higher HA concentration (1.6%), Synchro Start, unlike the Basic line, has a slower visco-inductive action but with longer-lasting effects (average 20/25 days).
Advice on use
Synchro Start is the elective treatment for large and heavily loaded joints:
- knee
- ankle
- hip
- shoulder
- elbow
Synchro Start can be used alone or in combination with the cross-linked product (Synchro Forte). In this case, it is advisable to start with an initial administration of the crosslinked product, and, after one week, administer Synchro Start, or carry out a prolonged sequential treatment of 3 to 5 weekly administrations.
Not recommended for lymphatic stasis.
Synchro Forte
Cross-Linked Hyaluronic Acid
Synchro Forte injectables, based on BDDE cross-linked agent with a high concentration of cross-linked hyaluronic acid (2.5%), replace synovial fluid for the restoration of the physiological and rheological properties of compromised joints, effectively treating degenerative or post-traumatic joint diseases, even in cases of pain and reduced mobility.
How it acts
Synchro Forte is a slow-release visco-inductive and visco-supportive treatment. This means that it is capable of synergistically exerting an anti-friction activity and inducing cartilage repair processes.
The use of different molecular fractions allows:
Viscosupplementation
It acts on the volume, lubricating and synchronizing the hydrostatic pressure in the joint chamber
Viscoinduction
It acts on cell regeneration, stimulating the synoviocytes to produce endogenous HA
Advise on use
The crosslinked Synchro Forte line is indicated as elective and preventive treatment on large joints (shoulder, elbow, knee, ankle, hip) and for post-surgical prophylactic treatment in meniscus-cartilage injuries and anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
